SEPTEMBER NEED- Av-Gas Funding

Down to the last handful of AvGas drums

 

As we shared in the last update, we are currently in the process of receiving

a 20-foot container of EIGHTY drums of Av-Gas, 100 low-lead

fuel. This supply represents about a year and a half of life-saving flying

for the AMB Gabon aviation program.

We optimistically estimated the need at $20,000 USD, 

however, the actual need is $28,000 USD.

Normally, as with our last fuel shipment in 2025, we were 

able to calculate and set aside funds from our operations that covered

most all of the fuel order shipping costs.  Our operational model is to kindly 

ask our passengers, if you are able to contribute, please do. However, we do

subsidize often to assist those in need. Not all are able to make contributions, 

but most give something and, sometimes, larger donations come in.

We try not to have favorite passengers, 
but sometimes that's hard not to do!

Why is this time different? Well, there are some realities in our world environment

affecting costs; there was also almost a month of no flying due to the turbocharger

needing replaced; also, operational donations were lagging.

Just this past week, an urgent MEDEVAC call came in from a 

very remote village. Our pilot, Rob, fueled up with Av-Gas,

and was able to respond! Instead of a grueling 2-day drive, this patient

was transported to the care she needed in under 2 hours!
