Bongolo Update- New Transformer Online!

As of Tuesday, January 28th, the new transformer at Bongolo Hospital has come on line!  Here are some updates from colleagues serving there:

Renee says: "On January 17th, the transformer that supplies electricity for the hospital and our homes, exploded and caught fire.  The hospital's new transformer is already installed and working!  We never imagined...
it would arrive here in the jungle so quickly.  Thank you for praying!  Not only are we thankful for the transformer, but also that the generator continued to work the whole time."

In regards to funds to cover these large expenses, Amanda reports:  "We are overwhelmed by how God is moving in the hearts of people who desire to give- through each of you, He truly is providing.
[Here is] what has been given thus far:
    * $50,000  -  towards transformer costs (total need: $175,000)
    * $6,0000 - towards generator use (need: $1000/day)
    * 8,000 - towards generator maintenance (ongoing)"

Team Leader, Keir, informed us that "the [C&MA] national office has suspended the admin fee on [donations to] the Bongolo Hospital Special Projects account from January 17 to February 28".   This means that every last penny that you contribute in response to this critical need will be transferred to Bongolo.
The Transformer has been transformed!
